Team Wellbeing Is Also a Management Metric
Why HOPE encourages and supports its people to experience a proactive approach to wellbeing themselves before speaking to customers.
There is an unspoken part of the culture at HOPE CORP that I am proud of: before we try to look after our customers' wellbeing, each team member should know how to look after their own.
We do not recommend what we do not use
I often tell the team that it is hard to speak convincingly about a light, balanced way of living while feeling tired and drained yourself. So at HOPE, employees are encouraged and supported to experience, first-hand, the proactive wellbeing programs the company builds. We are the first users and our own most demanding customers before anything goes to market.
A healthy team makes a lasting company
Over the past year, a heavy workload and sales pressure were unavoidable. But I understand that productivity does not come from sitting in the office for twelve hours. It comes from a clear mind and from physical and mental resilience.
That is why our pre-Tet self-care program is not only for customers. It is also run inside the company.
Kindness starts at home
I want my colleagues to head into Tet not only with a bonus in their pockets, but with good health and a good state of mind. That is the most valuable thing I can wish for the people I work with.
When customers look at the HOPE team, they should see people who genuinely live well, not people playing the role of health experts.
At HOPE, living well is not a slogan. It is a way of life.
