First feedback from users: small reminders, big change
After the IKI app launched on iOS, plain-spoken feedback from the first hundred or so users showed me that personalization is solving the right problem.
Caught up in the rhythm of work, how many of us have sat in front of a screen for hours, forgetting to stand and stretch, or only remembering we had not had any water once we were thirsty? We chase careers and numbers, but sometimes we neglect our own bodies without noticing.
After the IKI app passed a strict review to go live on iOS, more than a hundred first users began trying it. For someone building a product, impressive download numbers never feel as good as real feedback from people using IKI's personalization features. I read messages such as "exactly what I needed," "the reminders are good, I forget less," and "I remember to drink water and stretch much more," and I understood that we are solving the right problem for our users.
What makes IKI different?
IKI is not a dry alarm clock that rings mechanically at set times. We combine a lean AI system with the expertise of our in-house health coaches, so that IKI works like a real assistant that understands the context and rhythm of each person's life.
It knows when to gently suggest "take a sip of water before lunch," and when to pull you away from a pile of work with "step away for a moment, roll your shoulders and stretch your back." That sensitivity is the core of listening to your body.
A lesson for product builders
Technology exists to serve people. Whether you are a busy office worker, a developer coding through the night or an owner juggling many projects, everyone needs a point of support to stay steady in body, mind and wisdom every day. What I take from this early stage is to listen to real feedback, including the most demanding kind, because it is the fastest way for the team to keep refining and improving the product.
