Accepted into Claude Startups: Technology Credits, Not Equity Funding
HOPE CORP has been accepted into Anthropic's Claude Startups program, receiving Claude usage credits and a partner tool ecosystem, along with what I learned from the review process.
IKI by HOPE CORP has just been accepted into Anthropic's Claude Startups program.
I want to be clear about what this is, to avoid any misunderstanding: it is a program that supports startups with Claude usage credits and partner tools, not an equity investment. There is no funding round here. But for a company that runs on AI, it is a genuinely valuable resource.
The review process
A few days ago I received an email saying our application was being re-reviewed because applications had surged to many times the normal volume. I was disappointed at first. The next evening, after finishing the paperwork, I sat down and wrote a letter to the review team, attaching our full strategy deck. When the work is real and the numbers are real, the right thing is to present them plainly.
This morning the result arrived: we were accepted. With such a large volume of applications, being reconsidered and approved so quickly gave me more confidence that the direction, system architecture and business problem we presented are realistic and well founded. I thank the Anthropic team for listening and working so quickly.
What the program provides
- API credits for using Claude, and access to the Claude Team plan for one year.
- An ecosystem of offers from independent technology partners, covering tools for data, queries, analytics and AI audio, such as Firecrawl (web data collection), ElevenLabs (AI audio platform), ClickHouse (analytics database), Hex, Moda, Linear and Retool.
On the surface, this is not a multi-million-dollar round from investment funds. But in terms of operating leverage, it is an important resource. For the AI system we are building, these specialized tools help automate a large volume of work and push operations toward a higher level of efficiency.
Why this matters to me
On the technology side, you could say the provider of the AI models we use every day was also the first organization to recognize and support this project. That does not replace investors, but it is a valuable signal at an early stage.
I also want to express my gratitude to the investors, partners and the members of our board who have stood by us and held to our vision since the hardest early days.
The foundation is solid and the tools are ready. Now it is time to focus on scaling up.
